Police Welfare Scheme: Katsina CP Presents Over N42.9M Cheques To 17 Families

The Katsina State Command Police Commissioner, Aliyu Abubakar Musa psc(+) has presented cheques amounting to the sum of Forty-two Million, nine Hundred and Thirty-nine Thousand, seven Hundred and four naira, forty-two Kobo to seventeen beneficiaries in the state.

ASP Shehu Suleiman, the command’s Deputy Police Public Relations Officer disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Katsina on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the state Police Boss disbursed the IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun PhD, NPM Group Life Assurance welfare Scheme to the next of kin of the departed police officers who lost their lives in active service to the nation, while serving in the command.

CP Aliyu Abubakar Musa psc(+), in his remarks shortly before presenting the cheques to the beneficiaries, advised them to consider the IGP’s welfare package as a helping hand that can alleviate their suffering when judiciously used.

He prayed for the reposed souls of the gallant officers and men who lost their lives in active service to the nation and the family and the fortitude to bear their loss.

One of the beneficiaries, while responding on behalf of others, thanked the Inspector General of Police for this kind gesture and promised to make good use of the money.
